Nkui spices are used to prepare a traditional dish from West Cameroon called Nkui . This dish is cooked when a child is born and served to the mother.

Nkui is a sticky sauce prepared from the bark of a plant called Triumfetta pentandra and seasoned with several spices which gives it a unique taste.

Served with hot corn couscous, the nkui is eaten only by hand.
